New Gecko neck, maple with wenge

My latest fretless Gecko neck arrived this week.  It is made of Maple (yes, that’s right, I ordered a Maple neck!) with a beautiful Wenge fingerboard.

I’ll post more details later, but one quick comment is that the fretless lines (inlayed Maple) seem to be about twice as thick as on all my previous Gecko fretless necks.  I’m not sure why this is so.  Nothing’s wrong, but it just seemed very odd to me.  Maybe I’m used to the thin, precise fretless lines from my other necks?  Is my newest order (in progress) going to have the same wide fretless lines too?  Is Warmoth doing this all the time now?  I’ll have to ask on this.
